Living with autism is not easy. I wanted to use this site to share with you some of my thoughts about living with this disorder and how one can help a child on the autism spectrum.

My name is Justyce and I am now 5 years-old. I have autism. What is autism? Well, on other pages of this site, you can find that out. I would like to start off telling you a bit about myself.

I was born a "typical" boy. I weighed 7 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 inches long. I met all of my milestones at the appropriate times and was even talking when I was a year old. When I was 15-months old, I went to see the doctor and got my MMR vaccination. After that, I began to regress. I lost all of my communication skills and started to exhibit some odd behaviors. I was diagnosed with autism in May 1999. I have been in therapy for 2.5 years and am doing really great.

I started preschool when I turned 3 and I love riding the "big, yellow bus" to school everyday. I have friends that I like to play with at school and I love going outside to ride the trikes.

When I come home from school everyday, my mommy and I go into my room and do work/therapy for a while. Then I get to come out and watch my favorite movies "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2." I just love that Woody and Buzz! I also love playing with cars. Crashing them is really cool.
